Boot To Windows, Bypass Grub Loader?

As i have stated in a previous question i installed ubuntu on an external drive, i then accidentally dropped the drive, and it shattered, and now when i turn on my computer it comes up to the GRUB loader, and wont boot vista. I need to get vista to boot once, so i can back up files before i do a clean install please help

  1. You don’t need to boot Vista at all. Boot a livecd distro like PartedMagic from a DVD, mount the Vista drive and the backup drive, and copy the files. THEN do the clean install.
