Can I Bypass The Password Request On My Mac Os X ?

Hi, my computer indicates that I have to do an update but in order to do this I need the password (my sister gave this to me and forgets the password). Also, how do I update my browser?? Thanks to anyone who can help.
With windows xp if you go in safe mode there is admin. account and most time that account dont have a password I wonder if apple have something similar to that and I guess they do consider people say how perfect apple compare to windows.
nope, you need that password to initiate any kind of updates on mac.
