Cannot Remember Initial Login Password On Older Dell?
| February 8, 2010 | Posted by HTBP under How to Bypass |
i have a desktop dell computer and it has windows xp on it. when i first start up the computer it goes to a screen for me to put in a name and password. i have tried to think of everything but have had no luck. is there any way to bypass this screen. i tried to start in safe mode but it still won't let me past it. any help would be appreciated. thanks.
start the computer in safe mode(hold down F8 as the computer starts)
login as administrator (unless it has a password on it also)
then open control panel and under user accounts you can remove or change the password.
If you have a password on the administrator, you can use samurai or another program to remove passwords
good luck

Unless you want to download a hacking tool kit, time to reinstall Windows or try some more passwords.
Hit CTRL+ALT+DEL to get to the 'classic' login screen. from there you can logon as admin.
