Computer Wont Run Any Programs Besides Internet.?

All I can do is open my internet browser, i believe i have a virus, but i tried downloading a Norton trial to get rid of what i have but it wont open, at all. all the programs i click on run as spools.exe in my task manager, is there anyway i can bypass this and get programs to forcefully open? please help me. :[
Wild guess. Rename Spools.exe; zSpools.exe would work. Safe mode might be easier.
If you do get some control, try a lighter AV or an online scanner if you can reach it. Kaspersky and TrendMicro both have free online scans.
