The following happens sometimes while my music is playing but the iPod is locked:
I press the button on top to prepare to unlock, when the scroll panel appears (the one that lets me control the volume, go to the end of the song/go to the start of the song, and scroll where in the song I am). The panel appears right below where it shows the time. Keep in mind this is when the iPod is locked (before sliding the "slide to unlock" slide bar).
This panel is similar to when I am on the screen of the song when the iPod is unlocked.
My question is: how do I control whether or not that panel appears while the iPod is locked?
Note: I have not made any changes whatsoever in content to the iPod in about a week and I ended up both having that control panel and not having it in that period of time.
The iPod is NOT jailbroken, if it helps.

when u shutdown ur ipod, make sure u havent played any music and quit it, then when u shut it on/off again, it will vanish (i think)

OK so today during a play/assembly at school (I'm in 8th grade) I was bored so I took out my iTouch. My iTouch is an older one, I got it back in 2008 or 2009 I think, it doesn't have a camera. One of the teachers saw me and took it away. I had the app iDie open and I didn't close it but I hit the sleep button on the top before I gave it to him. During the play, I looked and saw he had the case open and was doing or playing something on MY iTouch. At the end of the play we had a talk and he gave it back to me. So I put it in my pocket and when I got home, I took it out and to my dismay, when I went to unlock it, (the "Slide to Unlock" thing) wouldn't slide. It was like the screen wasn't sensing that I was touching it. Since I can't turn it off manually since the screen won't work, I'm waiting for the battery to run out so it will shut off automatically and then hopefully when I turn it back on, the screen will work. It's pretty much my only option. That usually works when my iTouch freezes. Again, the sleep button and the home screen button work, but the touch screen doesn't. Unfortunately, my iTouch is jailbroken so I can't go in to get it fixed. I know the teacher did something to my iTouch either on accident or on purpose because it worked before he took it but it didn't work after he gave it back to me (He seemed like a pretty nice guy, though). If anybody knows what the teacher did to my iTouch or how to get it fixed, PLEASE tell me. Thanks so much!!!!!

Last time I updated my iPhone, it was successful, but my iPhone ended up inaccessible. You know, when you "slide to unlock" you get into the home menu where all the applications are there and stuff. But last time I updated my iPhone, you can't go there. It's like, I don't know.

Okay, my sister and I have Guitar Hero: World Tour. We have 2 guitars, but no drums or mic. We want to play with / against each other. So far, it seems like our only option (for just 2 players) is to go head-to-head. Is that right? And if so, how do we unlock songs for head-to-head?

More details: I did single-player Career Mode and unlocked a bunch of songs (and we played them head-to-head), but then, after I turned my X-Box off, all the "unlocked" songs disappeared. How do I save my progress while in Career Mode? There didn't seem to be any kind of save option until AFTER I back out of career mode, back to the main menu.

Yes, our X-box has a hard drive. The game seems to have trouble detecting it automatically, but when it asks us to "select a storage device," our hard drive pops up, we select it, and it *appears* to save the game...

I was using iblacklist for iphone 3g to block one number to call me. Then that number called, i enter the iblacklist to have a look at it. When iblacklist has started it showed a message say sth and ask me to restart. I did restart my iphone. Then there comes the error. My phone got started but it was stuck at the "Slide to unlock". It stayed there for a few minutes and rebooted again and it stayed there again. I think if only i can't start safe mode i would fix the problem. Thanks for help, please. I don't want to restore my iphone at all.

you can use a app on computer called ifunbox. This should give you access to the ipod now just find the i blacklist app and uninstall.

i have absolutely no idea weather this will work or not but its worth a shot, just leave it on until it dies, then recharge it, turn it back on and see if it works. if not call apple (you can probobly find it on apple store or somthing) and see if they can help. hope you get it fixed =)

PLEASE: take the precious time out of your day to aid in fixing my dilemma!

Currently, I live in america. I REALLY want the new iPhone 3G(S), (yes, I know it's not out just yet). If I were to purchase a German iPhone, would I be able to use it with american T-Mobile service?

I understand that I may have to "unlock" it, and I've heard there are free tools to do so... IF it's necessary to do so, please tell me the name of the tool I need (yes its legal to say that, so long as you don't actually provide the tool, so, no fear).

The most important thing to me is that all the features work - ESPECIALLY 3G! I've read elsewhere that T-Mobile has an estranged band of 3G from AT&T, so an american AT&T phone will most likely not work, but that's fine - the German one should. However I would understand if some features didn't...

Also, about how much would it cost to break a T-Mobile contract? I think I have about 1 to 2 more contracted years if I remember correctly.

to cancel with t-mobile in would be
$ 200 if more than 180 days remaining on contract
$ 100 if 91 to 180 days left
$ 50 if 31 to 90 days left
$ 50 or your monthly recurring charges whichever is less if 30 days or less

now as for unlocking the Phone we have had phones unlocked and used them fr tmobile and we could make calls and text but could not download any thing because of the programing of the phone in was not supported by tmobiles network

I dropped my iphone from about 2 feet and it landed on its back with the screen facing up. It didnt hit the ground hard at all! When I picked it up the lock screen where it says "slide to unlock" was frozen it wouldn't allow me to unlock it. SOOOOOO I tried restarting it by pressing the lock and home keys at the same time but now it has been on the start up screen with the black background and the silver apple FOREVER! It has the loading thing in the middle. It has done this before (that time i didnt drop it) and for 3 days straight it stay on this same screen. the battery never died. I took it to AT&T and she did something that fixed it..until i got home and it froze again -_- Anyone encounter this problem? How did you fix it? Any suggestions?

well it sounds like you've had it inside for awhile, nontheless i would be sure that your hands are warm and dry. the touch screen responds more to heat than touch. other than that, I would recoment standard hardware-no-workey stuff, like shut it down and leave it for a few minuites, then turn it back on. if that dosent work, i would remove any kind of sim card the itouch has and let that dry out and put it back in.
