Help On My Old, Back-up Computer ?????
| December 16, 2009 | Posted by HTBP under How to Bypass |
I bought an old Dell computer that is about 8 years old at a yard sale as a backup about a year ago. (Optiplex GX 1). Of course, it had to be over 150 miles away somewhere in Central Pennsylvania and I remember the guy showing me that it worked with Widows XP professional and it was one of his old backups he used at his job. To make this short story long lol, Every time I turn this computer on, it goes right to the Windows password box and asks for the domain name-password combination that I am not able to access because I do not have his password on his old system. I understand that this is designed for a reason but right now, I cannot aford to go out and buy Windows XP software being I lost my job 2 months ago...Is there anyway to bypass this system ???? I have never actually used this computer until now because My Dell dimension desktop hard drive went out on me. Man, if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all lol.
try this. Unplug computer; open box and look for the small battery that is about the size of a nickle and remove it. Then put a small piece of tin foil across the open header pins where they stick up on the mother board. Run the tinfoil over all of the pins to make contact between as many as possible to short them out. There are several sets of say 2-12 pins that stick straight up remove the foil from the area and
replace battery and fire up. this should have killed the password. good luck
There's a way to reset the password and it doesn’t involve reformatting and reinstalling Windows. The solution is called Windows Password Reset 7.0. It can reset almost all Windows passwords in seconds. It is a great windows password recovery tool: http://www.resetwindowspassword.com . you can log in again just in one second. It also support windows 7 password reset.
