Companies put blocks on certain websites for a reason. Trying to bypass work and/or school filters can (and most likely will) result in a serious penalty. Keep in mind that they can see EVERYTHING you do on your computer.

Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of company computer usage policy. You can get fired when you get caught. Use company computers for work and myspace will be there when you get home. Do you really want your boss and IT administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyway? Don't risk your job on something as retarded as myspace.

You can't and don't try. Should you even try, it may be grounds for termination. There are alarms set for anyone that tries to tamper with security settings (and that is considered a security setting) where admins are notified of who is tampering and what they are tampering with. Is what your trying to do worth your job?

You *could* look for a proxy server.
I highly do NOT recommend it. Circumventing the company security software can get you fired, automatically, no questions asked and no appeal. It's misuse of company resources. They don't want you to go to those sites and waste company time... and they're serious about it if they've got them blocked.
Also, if they're serious enough to block those sites, they're serious enough to check to see who is connecting to proxy servers too. So don't think you won't get caught.

Talk to your IT staff.
They apparently want you working and not screwing off at non-work related sites.
Respect that... You could be fired for not following their network usage rules.
