How Can I Bypass The Bypass The Bioshock Serial Key?

I got the game about a year ago and it didnt work on my computer. I threw the box somewhere, and forgot about it. Now i have a new computer, and i saw the box and decided to play it. The box didnt have the manual, and the serial number is on the back of the manual! What do i do?!!
Well the only thing I know you could do is to look online for cracked key.
I must say that is illegal and you should not do it. But only thing I can think of.
...Or hack the game
basically go into command prompt and use it to find the game folders, then use it to delete the file which forces you to enter a code, you should be able to find the code there, then just copy and paste it!, or delete it and put your own code in thats easier to remember... its that simple, i cant tell you exactly where the code will be as each game differs, and i dont have Bioshock 1..actually i lie i do but its PC DVD and i dont have a DVD ROM Drive in my pc at the moment...but once i do i can triangulate the exact location of the code for you.
