How Can I Unblock Youtube On The School Computers?

Hi When I was looking through all of the websites that proxy on them, they were all blocked. So I was wondering is there another way to unblock websites without the CPS blocking it. I tried start>control panel> internet options> and trusted sites, but they don’t really work. 🙂

  1. the problem with proxies is that schools notice when you use them and if you get caught they can take away your computer priveledges. Good Luck working on projects at school then.

  2. You might be able to use the hosts file, if you know the IP of the site you want. It’s basically a file in Windows where you can specify the IPs and URLs of websites. Example:
Or you could use I’ve heard that secure websites are a bit tougher to block. If you know the IP of a proxy, then you can got to Tools, Internet Options, Connections tab, LAN settings button, check the box that says “Use a proxy for your LAN” then type in the IP of the proxy in the field, as well as the port.

  3. The use of a proxy website would be the best way to go in your situation, provided they aren’t blocked. A proxy website works as a gateway that allows you to browse the internet while never leaving the proxy site, so no tracking is possible. is an excellent example, though google would turn up many more.

  4. try
Surf and browse the web free, anonymously, securely at school and work! You can unblock popular social networking sites such as MySpace, Bebo, Facebook, YouTube, Orkut, Friendster and so on.

  5. Not going to happen. This will be blocked across your entire network, so whatever you attempt to change on one of the computers will have no effect.
A proxy is your only option, but really you should just adhere to your school’s rules.

  6. Kids and Billy Goats, if you worked half as hard on homework as you do on circumventing the system, you would all be genius’s.
