  1. Yeah talk with the staff and request it, because I tell ya right now if you bypass it they will know it anyway. Content filters aren’t meant to be simply bypassed, they’re in place for a reason, to protect kids and to protect institutions that employ information systems with internet access. The easiest solution for you if you want to visit such websites is to get a laptop and visit a local hotspot.

  2. This isn’t a security question, it’s an anti-security question. It’s sort of like asking how to get the windows and doors of my boarding house unlocked after everyone turns in for the night.
    The reason they block these programs is because they are hazardous to the network. Go ahead and talk to them about unblocking them, but if your only reason is to DL some warez, then don’t expect much of a positive response.
