How do I “unlock” files on the D drive?? (the recovery partition)?

Question by unh0ly_freak: How do I “unlock” files on the D drive?? (the recovery partition)?
Ok, like.. yeah. I wanna be able to access, view, open, delete, and edit my files on the D drive, aka the recovery partition. But every time I try to open the D drive, I get this:

“Recovery Partition
WARNING!

This area of your hard disk
(or partition) contains files used
for your system recovery.

Do not delete or alter these files.

Any change to this partition could
prevent any recovery later.”

+++++++Things I’ve tried++++++
Going to Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> “Show Hidden Files and Folders” & unchecked “Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)”.

Opening Spybot S&D -> Tools -> System Startup -> stopping “Recguard” from starting up at system boot. (Recguard is supposedly what protects the D drive files from being treated as normal files -opened, edited, copied, etc-)
PS: I know some of you may ask “Why are you trying to get to the files on the RECOVERY partition?!” – answer to that is simple: I wanna see if I have any’a my old music on there (stuff I recorded myself that I may not’ve gotten to burn to cd before my PC messed up). Also to delete files I KNOW I don’t need, so I can use the extra free space as “artificial” RAM.. “Page File” memory.. or whatever it’s called.
@Clyde: Who wrote “again there is no files you have downloaded or made on that drive. your not gonna create much space nor speed your computer up.”

*cough* um.. Thank you for your reply, really.. but you seem stuck on the fact that there’s none of MY files in there.. though I beg to differ. Because, when I was in safe mode doing a DEEP scan on all of my drives, my antivirus found a file in there which I myself downloaded.

ALSO! More proof – when I changed the folder settings to let me see hidden system folders, there was a folder in the D drive called “Install Applications”, which doesn’t come with Windows… it’s a folder I always use to backup my install apps.

I can screenshot if you’d like to see?? There’s actually many more files and folders than just the “Recovery” folder in the D drive… I just can’t access any of’em at all.

Soo…. as I was asking, does anyone know how to unlock’em??

Thank youooooo soo much if you can help. ^_^

first off, nothing is in there that you have downloaded or made. that is strictly for the operating system.
only way to get it there is to de-partition it.
yes departitioning it will leave that drive open for virus’s and also may not let you use it later to reformat.
i would advise you to leave it alone, seeings how your asking alot of questions about it. you deleting files in there will not create much space and as for speeding up your computer, not gonna happen.
if you really wanna departition it, search the net.
good luck destroying your computers operating system.

again there is no files you have downloaded or made on that drive. your not gonna create much space nor speed your computer up.
