  School is for learning. You do not need to do anything on MySpace or Facebook that pertains to your education. There are no educational benefits on Facebook, MySpace or any of those other “off topic” websites you are trying to get on. Use the school computers for schoolwork and save the entertainment for when you get home. If you cannot abide by your school’s computer usage policy, then you need to get off and let someone else use the computer for their education.

  If you don’t want to get busted, use an SSH tunnel. It works like a proxy, but also encrypted the data, so even if they sniff your traffic, they will not be able to see what you are doing. A proxy just redirects it, but doesn’t encrypt. A half-way decent administrator can find you out.   The only downside is that you need to be able to SSH into a computer, but you may be able to setup an SSH account for free if you search. Or set one up from your home computer.

  Facebook has applications that will show you how to access facebook from blocked locations. They change about once a week to prevent having the proxy be blocked, so rather than me post it, it’s best to just visit the application:http://apps.facebook.com/viewfacebookats…
