Simply click Start then Run and type in control userpasswords2 and hit OK. On the Users tab uncheck the box next to "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" and click Apply.
Put in the user name and password of the account you want to have automatically log in. In your case just the user name and a blank password.
I followed this instructions on how to bypass user name/password login to Windows XP and now I can't access my computer at all. The message I get after a Windows XP prompt for User name and Password is "Unable to log you on because the this isnt the right password or the username. my username is administrator and my password is already written there but i can't log on. so i tired to log on in safemode and it also doesnt work. help please..
Maybe, you should reset it with windows password unlocker, which is a professional windows password recovery tool for those who have been locked out of computer
You can free download it from http://www.passwordunlocker.com/products…
maybe you didn't type the password or user name right the first time
do it again and see if that worked
