Jailbreaked iPod Touch 1.1.3??

Question by gunslinger: Jailbreaked iPod Touch 1.1.3??
So I successfully jailbreaked my iTouch after hours of watching videos of how to do it and downloading the necessary software and what not. And now, I have the 1.1.3 with the January update, but I can’t download anything from Installer. Like, I can go into installer and when I click on something it’ll start to download, but it’ll stop and go black for a second and kick me back to the “slide to unlock” screen as if it did it correctly, but it doesn’t download anything. Help plz??
i didn’t download the one from itunes. i followed the instructions of the “ipodtouchmaster” dude from youtube. it all worked fine and then this crap. like the way i did it was by getting a jailbreaked 1.1.2 and then downloading this one thing on my ipod from the dude that upgraded to 1.1.3 and gave me the january update, which it did, he also said it would still work (the installer)

You might have to rejailbreak it. That’s also one of hte reasons why I hate jailbreaking (one because it voids warranty). It doesn’t always work. It won’t break your iPod (they guarantee that), but they can’t guarantee that it will work every time. A lot of people have to go through it many times. I tried it like 5 times, then gave up…SDK’s coming out at the end of February, so I don’t really care about jailbreaking it.

Yeah, 1.1.3 has been jailbreaked. It’s just that it’s slightly buggy. Try restoring then jailbreaking again.

  1. Downloading the 1.1.3 firmware will revert your iTouch back to Apple specs, making Installer and 3rd party apps useless. You have 2 options:

    1. Downgrade to 1.1.1 and re-jailbreak your iTouch as described here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=YakjwxB3nQU

    2. Like the other user, wait until the SDK comes out.
