My ipod touch is not working!!?

Question by Liv: My ipod touch is not working!!?
ok, so today, i was listening to my ipod touch, and the wire for the headphones got caught on a drawer handle (haha i know) but my headphones came out of the ipod and the ipod fell, not that far, maybe 3 feet? when i picked it up it seemed ok, but the touch screen is not working! when the ipod is locked, and it goes to the unlock screen, the “slide here to unlock” thing is moving, so the screen isn’t broken, but when i touch it, it does nothing!! oh, and if it helps, the ipod fell on its back, (not the screen) please help if anything like this has happened to you or you just know how to fix it. please??

i have absolutely no idea weather this will work or not but its worth a shot, just leave it on until it dies, then recharge it, turn it back on and see if it works. if not call apple (you can probobly find it on apple store or somthing) and see if they can help. hope you get it fixed =)

  1. 1 try rebooting it by pressing and holding the hold and home buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds. When u do this it should go black and then an apple logo should show for 10-30 seconds.
If that doesn’t work connect it to your computer and restore it through iTunes, but restoring deletes all the stuff on your iPod.
    Hope I helped

  2. i dont know whether this will be the same but my little stupid cousin put my ipod touch in a cup of milk (yes a cup of milk!) and at first the touch screen would not work at all and i was just about ready to kill my cousin and make him pay money to help me fix it but i decided to wait a little bit to see if it will fix by itself and it turned out in about 3 days it was back to normal and working again perfectly. so, i would wait for a little bit and if it still does not work you’ll have to go to the apple store ;(

Well I don’t really think there is any way to go about this manually but sometimes these things just need a re-boot so wait for the battery to die out and then re-charge and try again. If that doesn’t work, try going to the Apple Store. I think that would be your best shot.

Good Luck! I have an iTouch too and would hate if anything happened to it so I understand what you are goind through 🙁
