I just bought a zoom G1XN multi effects and I don’t know how to change it from distortion to clean or acoustic tone. Can anyone help me?

Well most pedals dont have a clean tone effect since clean is just the absence of effects. So simply use distortion and then when you want to go to clean turn of the pedal ala footswitch. Hope it helps!

  1. When using an effects pedal, you should set your amp to it’s cleanest sound. All effects will be created with the pedal and the amp is just going to cleanly and accurately amplify them. So don’t use any distortion on the amp, keep the gain at a sane level.

When you want a clean sound from the guitar, you’ll use the “Bypass” switch on the Zoom pedal. Since your amp is set clean, you can also program a few effects into the Zoom pedal that will enhance your clean sound. It’s safe to tweak the EQ, reverb/delay, and compressor but go lightly on the effects. To get distortion, you can program some settings with drive and gain turned up. I don’t think the Zoom has a true acoustic tone, so you’ll just have to play with your clean settings…..
