No, they can get an abortion no problem, but there is a 9 month waiting period.

  1. If you are under 18, your state may require one or both of your parents to give permission for your abortion or be told of your decision prior to the abortion. In most states with these requirements:

You can ask a judge to excuse you from getting permission or telling your parent or guardian. (This is called a “judicial bypass.”)
A legal guardian can give permission or be notified in place of a parent.
If you meet legal rules showing that you are independent of the care and control of your parents or a guardian, you do not need to get their permission or notify them.

  2. Yes,because most of the time they do not get the correct understanding of what they are doing before they get the abortion.-Jesus Christ

  3. of course. if your child were undergoing major surgery to murder your grandchild, wouldn’t you want to know?

  4. In the Bible, God refers to people as people, while they are still being formed in the Mother’s womb. No one knows the moment at which God imparts a living soul, and it is no longer simply part of the mother’s body. Babies should not be murdered. They can be put up for adoption in cases of rape/incest. Only in the event that allowing the baby to live in the womb would bring harm to the mother (which, nowadays is almost never), should we allow a baby to be aborted.

  5. i don’t think they should, its her body, she should choose what she can do with it, regardless of what they think, women who choose abortion fully understand what their doing, their getting rid of a fetus that is growing inside them so that they can live a better life, they made a mistake and so many know that.and they will suffer for it too, they will regret it for the rest of their lives, but its still better than bringing a child into this world to be screwed over by foster care, to live in poverty with a single mom who didn’t want them, possibly still living with their parents or worse, parents that have grown to hate each other.

  6. I think minors should get parental consent before they have sex… Although very few people probably agree.

And certainly they should get parental consent before they get an abortion.

I don’t care what your religious standpoint is, an abortion is an invasive procedure. If a minor can’t get their tonsils removed without a parental signature, why should they be able to make a much larger medical decision that could cause serious physical injury or at a minimum have severe psychological ramifications?

  7. Yes, I believe this should be mandatory even though I’m against the idea of abortion altogether they are minors they are not adults and they technically are dependents living under their parents home. But as the law sits now teenagers don’t need their parents’ consent to have an abortion and they are even protected under patient confidentiality when they do decide to have an abortion. In most cases teenagers wouldn’t want their parents to know they are pregnant because they fear shaming their family, if there was nothing wrong with having an abortion than you would think the teenager would tell their parents they had decided to have an abortion. But I don’t think many parents would allow their child to have an abortion being that unborn baby is their grandchild.

  8. No. What if the parents are so crazy that they want the teenager to carry the baby to term even if she was raped or is going to die if she has the baby? I don’t know what the state laws are but in those two instances I would make an exception.
