My computer is custom built by me, and ever since new its run fantastic, but tends to forget things. For example, I made the computer bypass the login screen to automatically load the desktop, but after a few times it reverts back to asking for a password. Sometimes a file will go corrupt etc. This happens even after the most recent reinstall of the OS and all.
Computers runs great and the forgetting is an occasional thing.
I think it must be the RAM has a bad chunk somewhere and info that sits on it gets lost. Do you agree that the RAM is perhaps faulty, or have another suggestion?

older models of Dell and Hp..about 7-10 years old..They seem to work..except that a few need pass words to get any further..is there a way to bypass the passwords? And then the ones that dont need a password. either dont have a hook up for my fat internet cable jack (larger than the standard phone jace) using a satellite high speed type service,,,then it appears that they only except dial up, dsl or modem…I want to be able use my current highspeed service..It’s called Clearwire…the systems dont recognize this type of service..I tried to install and ethernet..but theres no connection on the ..i guess its called the motherboard..that little white plug- in piece..theres no where to plug in that little white piece from the ethernet card into the large circuit board that i can see.Its easy to find on newer computers?? I wanna by pass the password and how can get the systems to recognize my highspeed internet ..Clearwire..system…thanks…

our school computers block some websites.

Sorry, I know, I asked this kind of question yesterday. But I didn’t get the answer.
So, here’s the deal. (Please keep reading)
“Internet Explorer 6.0
1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options, click the Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings.
2. Under Proxy server, click to select the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box.
3. In the Address box, type the IP address of the proxy server.
4. In the Port box, type the port number that is used by the proxy server for client connections (by default, 8080).
5. You can click to select the Bypass proxy server for local addresses check box if you do not want the proxy server computer to be used when you connect to a computer on the local network (this may speed up performance).
6. Click OK to close the LAN Settings dialog box.
7. Click OK again to close the Internet Options dialog box.”
I followed the steps all above the list here. I got confused at the step #5. What is a PORT? Where/how do I get a PORT? I’m sorry, but I just don’t know what they are. I tries to figure out but still lost. Please explain me? I need to know what’s PORT is so I can filled and follow all the 7 steps.

Hi When I was looking through all of the websites that proxy on them, they were all blocked. So I was wondering is there another way to unblock websites without the CPS blocking it. I tried start>control panel> internet options> and trusted sites, but they don’t really work.

i really wanan get on myspace but i can never get on ! Helppp me !

Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of school computer usage policy. You will get suspended and/or banned from using school computers when you get caught. Use school computers for school work, and myspace can wait until you get get home. Do you really want your teachers and school administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyways?

The admin disables the internet connection of the computer if it exceeds certain bandwidth. Is there any way I can get around this? If I change my MAC address, and then he disables internet connection on my computer, will I be able to connect to connect to internet again once I change my MAC address? Any suggestions on how to bypass this?
