Question by Lyn: HTC Touch Pro "Security Unlocked" screen. How do I get rid of it?
I have the HTC Touch Pro from Sprint. I was sending a text message. As soon as it sent, it pulled up a multi-colored screen with the header "Security Unlocked." The code read:

RAPH800
SPL-0.37.0000
MicroP-Hermann (LED) v0C85
MicroP-Hermann (KEY) v0685
PSOC-Raph STAGE_EVT v20

The screen is red, on top of green, on top of blue. There's a footer area with the word "Serial."

I looked up online real quick to troubleshoot. Apparently this screen is achieved when you literally unlock the phone and can put in your own ROM....or something like that.

I wasn't trying to mess with my phone like that. I don't wanna break it. How do I get rid of this screen? Will my phone go back to normal working condition? This phone was purchased refurbished from a guy I know. Never had problems with the phone until now....if that helps.

Any detailed help would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I can't live without my cellphone =/ Thanks for reading!

Best answer:

Answer by G
Try doing a soft reset first. If that does not fix it then you will have to a hard reset. Follow the directions,

Question by John Smith: Security system -- how to remove the need for "double unlocking"?
It's happened about 5 times already since we moved into a house with a security system -- wife/kids/friends forget to key in the security code (and some doors don't have a panel on the inside), unlock the door, and BEEEEEEEEEP! wake up the whole family at 5 AM by accident.

Do they make "smart" deadbolts that automatically disable the security system when unlocked, or some other things that alleviate the problem?

I have sensors on all the doors and lower-level windows, plus glass-break sensors.

Best answer:

Answer by Bruce
In a word, No.

You just have to get in the habit of "unlock the door and disarm the alarm". Every time.
Hopefully your panel was installed near the door you use most often.

I don't know of any deadbolts that would do what you are asking.

Question by Korjo: ESET Smart Security vs Comodo Internet Security?
Hi all,

Lately i've been reading up on security options for my computer. Currently i have ESET Smart Security running, which i quite like for it's virus protection. But the firewall is under performing. As an example i was even able to click on "Unblock" remotely using the same remote-desktop application that the warning was for. Thus completely defeating the purpose of a firewall.

I think that Comodo would be a good firewall to switch to, but I'm not sure how the rest of their security suite performs.

What are your opinions on this?

Cheers,
Korjo.

Best answer:

Answer by TW_Link
COMODO's newest firewall has a tendency to crash programs frequently and cause many computer problems. I would use PCTools Firewall.

http://www.pctools.com/firewall/

Just disable the firewall in ESET and use PCtools one

Question by Orange Peels: Security Center Alert? Sinowal Trojan?
Well, I don't think I have the sinowal trojan, only a bug or something.
My Security Center Alert keeps popping up when I turn on my computer, but it only allows me to click "enable protection" and not "keep blocking" or "unblock". When I click "enable protection", it takes me to this site that wants me to buy this Perfect Defender 2009 virus protection thingy. I think this "bug" wants me to buy the Perfect Defender 2009, which I think is a scam. I think the hackers just want to make money, and the Sinowal Trojan isn't doing any harm. When I click my firefox, it says "threat of an attack" or something. Does anyone know how to remove this bug, or am I wrong and what I have on my computer is a real virus?

Best answer:

Answer by Doc
Part of the win antivirus clan of malware trying to get you to buy protection that does not work and steals credit card info if you buy it . Use malwarebytes to rid the bug .http://www.malwarebytes.org/

It has a "Stay", "Chime", "Exit", "Bypass" and "Cancel" buttons. Right now it's on the "Chime" buttton. How do I activate it when I'm inside the apartment, and outside?

Thanks.

Serious answers only, no "WHY DON'T YOU DO UR JOB LOLOLOLOL?" The answer to that: I work a 9 hour day and I finish everything I have to do within the first hour. The only other part of my job is to be the cashier there, but I only get like 30 customers which adds about... 15 minutes of total work time.

Ok, here's the deal. My dad blocked a bunch of things from my computer using the K9 restriction. It really sucks because he blocked anything under the Adult/Mature content area. This is honestly nothing about visiting "adult sites" but it's about visiting sites for things such as my Humanities class, my western ltierature class, and things like that. it's such a hassle to just ask him to unblock it because he always asks me why and I have to explain to him in detail why I want it. Also! Some games i like to play are on media share sites, which are also blocked. And other things like P2P are blocked as well.
I would just like to know if anyone knows how to bypass it. Thanks in Advance!
