my laptop- that has windows media player 11- and Vista. Something pops up in my internet browser saying i have to download a license or something like that in order to protect the file.... how do i do that because i would really like my music back, so i can listen to it. Thanks in Advance for you help!!!

This is what it says when I try to play the file... "A license is required to play this file

......then I go on to click on the Download License Button, and it says I don't have the windows media services plug-in installed in my computer.... what Do I doo from there??
i already have the files downloaded from the CD and some of the CDs i borrowed therefore i dont have them anymore.... just as the music files on my flash drive and old computer... i tried to play them on the laptop but that screen keeps coming up
i need to know how to download the Windows Media Services Plug-In please and thanks!!!

Try using "Exact Audio Copy" to copy the cd to perfect quality tracks to store on your computer instead of Windows. If you don't got the cd then you could try converting it or something and hopefully the protection will go away.

I typed in my 25 character key already, and was successful.
But whenever i start to type, this line would
show up in the lower left of the window:
"This modifacation is not allowed because the selection is locked."
So how do i "unlock" it so i can start typing?

I right click on the Document folder
and then I chose "Lock" by mistake
then the folder started to encryption
when i tried to open the files .. some of them are encrypting and the others wont open

and the Document folder type changed from "File" To "File Folder" !!
also the folder icon changed and become like control panel icon ..!

i right click on the folder to unlock it .. but there is no "unlock" appears in the list
so, what can i do to unlock it and get it back to normal folder again >

please help !

First of all there is no "lock" command when you right click a folder on Vista.Apparently you are using a 3rd party software.Usually when you encrypt a folder it ask you for a password so you can decrypt it. What software did you used?

EDIT: By the commands "erase" and "secure erase" it seems like you are using a maintenace utility that offers file encryption too.Look at your programs to find it.Usually the program has a encrypt /decrypt option somewhere.Choose the decrypt option and navigate to the folder you want to unlock.

How The Hell Does Antivirus 08 Xp And Vista Get Onto My Computer?

Hi, Yesterday I was infected with Antivirus 08 XP and thankfully I had malwarebytes and it was destroyed. I also manage to manually go into my program files and delete the folder before the malwarebytes. This was not done under safe mode. Now today, when I was on ebay, youtube. Antirivus Vista popped up! There was this webpage that popped up! Before it had the chance to load, it said something Vista antivirus thing. So I immediately closed all applications and exit out. Right now, I have malewarebytes scanning my computer.
So how does antivirus 08 xp and vista get onto my computer? I have an xp by the way.
I have my firewall on, spybot search and destroy, AVG, Adaware, CCleaner malewarebytes and a-square Anti-maleware. Obvious this stupid Antivirus 08 xp and vista is really sneaky to bypass all of this sh*t!

Ok, my freak of a mother so called "grounded" me without much of a cause, when I left my house she logged into my computer in my room and set extremely high Parental Controls on it, and she changed the administrator password and removed my passwords, At various set times when I get to the login screen after booting up I click on my picture, however a "X" Pops up and says "Yadda Yadda restricted Yadda Yadda" and I can't get onto the admin's account, any way to bypass/defeat or remove these ParCon's?

I have a Gateway Laptop.
It uses an Intel video card. (Intel Mobile 945GM).
The original version of the driver had tons of bugs - most games froze almost immediately.
The 2007 version of the driver had less bugs but still sucked.
Intel has since released two versions of the driver in 2008, but they're only available on Intel's site. When trying to install them, I get the message "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from this computer's manufacturer. Setup will exit."
Does anyone know how to bypass this?
The manufacturer (Gateway) does not have the latest version of the driver.
