I know with Windows XP you can hit F8 while the computer is starting up and log in to administrator in safe mode and change the users password. They recently fired a guy and I use his computer and I had to get into that way. However, there’s this old-as-dirt computer that I believe has Windows 2003 on it, and when you turn it on, it asks you to press ctrl+alt+delete and then prompts you for a password. I tried hitting F8 before the computer turned on, and nothing happened. I tried again and held F8 down and it just beeped. People come to me with computer questions a lot, and they asked me to fix it and I assumed I could because I thought the computer would have XP on it, but it doesn’t. Does anyone know how to bypass this? No one knows the password.
It says “Windows Server 2003 R2″ on the “control/alt/delete to begin” screen. That’s about all I know about it.
Thanks so much.
